UPDATE: New time - Road closure on LA 109 – Calcasieu Parish
UPDATE: The time for this closure has been extended to 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The closure will still occur on Saturday, July 11, 2020.
UPDATE: This closure has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 109 will be closed to traffic at the railroad crossing just north of US 90 on Friday, July 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The closure will allow the railroad company and DOTD to make repairs to the crossing. Northbound traffic may detour by taking US 90 East to LA 3063 north then LA 3063 west to LA 109. Southbound traffic may take LA 3063 east to LA 3063 south then US 90 West to LA 109. All activity is weather permitting.
