The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is currently preparing a feasibility study and an Environmental Inventory (EI) for a by-pass facility around the City of St. Martinville .

The proposed project is to identify affordable alternatives to divert heavy truck traffic passing through the historic downtown district, decrease traffic congestion, and improve connectivity in the local industrial community and traffic from New Iberia that presently uses LA 31 for access to I-10.

The purpose of this meeting will be to present and explain the project purpose and need, the proposed alternatives, and to solicit input from the public.

Following the presentation, representatives of DOTD will be available to receive comments and answer questions related to this project. All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
