BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling over $49 million at its April 28 public bid opening, according to Governor Kathleen Blanco and DOTD Secretary Johnny B. Bradberry.

With a bid of $16,971,824.00, James Construction Group, LLC, Baton Rouge, was the apparent low bidder on the state’s most expensive job, a project in Lincoln Parish calling for grading, drainage structures, class II base course, lime treatment, pavement widening, superpave, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work on US 167 from Ruston to Vienna.
