REMINDER: DOTD to replace Palmetto Creek Bridge on LA 27 – Beauregard Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the replacement of Palmetto Creek Bridge (MP 130.9 ) on LA 27 between Sand Bed Road and Lawlis Road in Beauregard Parish.

The bridge will be completely closed to traffic during construction. The closure is anticipated to begin May 11, 2020, and continue until Summer 2020. Motorists may use US 190, LA 110, and US 171 to detour. Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) will be posted on LA 27 to advise drivers of the closure and the detour.

Crews will remove the existing bridge and install a new bridge, guardrail, and pavement markings. All progress will be dependent on weather.
