LA 347 (Grand Point Highway) Northbound & Southbound under I-10 overpass, St. Martin Parish – Lane Closures

The northbound and southbound lanes of LA 347 under the I-10 overpass will be closed nightly beginning Monday, April 13 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, April 17 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
This closure will allow crews to begin sand blasting on the bridge.
The detour for northbound traffic will be I-10 eastbound to Exit 121 – LA 3177 (Butte La Rose) and then back on I-10 westbound to Exit 115 (Henderson).
The detour for southbound traffic will be I-10 westbound to Exit 109 – LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) and then to I-10 eastbound to Exit 115 – LA 347.
This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.
With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.
The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
