Flashing yellow arrow project nearing completion in Southwest Louisiana

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the flashing yellow arrow project for Calcasieu, Beauregard, Jefferson Davis, Allen, and Cameron Parishes is nearing completion approximately six months ahead of schedule.

Flashing yellow arrows have been installed and are operational on approximately 120 state intersections in Southwest Louisiana. Flashing yellow arrows have replaced solid green bulbs, and indicate to motorists to yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians prior to performing a turn.

The contractor for the $4 million project was Ernest P. Breaux Electrical.
