DOTD announces project to resurface LA 384 in Cameron Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a $2 million project to resurface LA 384 in Cameron Parish. The project will patch and overlay approximately 8 miles of LA 384 from LA 385 (Boones Corner) to LA 27 (Hacketts Corner).

The project is set to begin March 20, and will provide a safer and more efficient roadway. Work will begin by performing pavement patching then progress to overlaying the roadway. Drivers can expect one lane closures throughout the duration of the project. The lane closure location will be condensed to the current work zone and will move as the project progresses.

Alternating lane closures will begin on LA 384 between LA 385 to LA 27 on Friday, March 20, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will continue until further notice. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone by flaggers.

The entire project is anticipated to be complete in Summer 2020. All dates and activity are weather dependent.

Prairie Contractor Inc. is the contractor for the project.
