KENTWOOD, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has closed the Kentwood Welcome Center until further notice due to low water pressure brought on by the recent severe winter weather.

Broken water mains and high usage in the area contributed to the issue. DOTD will continue to monitor water pressure and will advise when it is safe to reopen the facility to travelers.
