ST. TAMMANY PARISH – H.002446 – LA 40 TCHEFUNCTE RIVER BRIDGE
Beginning Monday, March 9, 2020, through Sunday, March 22, 2020, there will be alternating single lane closures both Eastbound and Westbound of LA 40. These closures will be from the hours of 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM daily, weather permitting. This is for crews to continue roadway widening operations.
After the completion of widening operations, crews will be preparing for a long-term new lane configuration, including a 24/7 single lane closure. Traffic will be maintained by a temporary traffic signal.
One lane will remain open in one direction at all times. Wide loads are still not permitted through this area at this time. There will be no other vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.
