LA 42 Widening and Improvements, Lane Shift, Ascension Parish

Construction has begun for State Project H.002370, LA 42 Widening. The project consists of grading, drainage structures, subgrade treatment, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, landscaping, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work in Ascension Parish.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that they will be shifted to the newly constructed inside eastbound and westbound lanes from North Lake Rd. to Levern Stafford Rd. The transition will take place February 26, 2020. This will allow the contractor to begin pouring outside curb and gutter and paving outside lanes with base course on LA 42.
No permit or oversize loads greater than 10’ feet wide will be able to pass.
