UPDATE: The closure for ONLY the northbound lanes have been extended.
LA 176 (Moss Street) northbound under I-10 will be closed on Friday, January 31 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, February 1 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
LA 176 (Moss Street) northbound and southbound under I-10 will be closed on Thursday, January 30 at 8 p.m. until Friday, January 31 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to pour the approach slab.
The detour for southbound traffic on LA 176 (Moss Street) will be E. Gloria Switch Road heading west to I-49/US90/LA 167 South to E. Simcoe Street and back to LA 176 (Moss Street).
The detour for northbound traffic on LA 176 (Moss Street) will be E. Simcoe Street heading west to I-49/US90/LA 167 North to E. Gloria Switch Road and back to LA 176 (Moss Street).
The detour will be posted.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area during the closure.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in April 2020.
