LA 155 is now open to thru traffic. Construction is still ongoing, but no more road closures will occur during the remainder of the project.
UPDATE - ROAD CLOSURE: LA 155 / JACKSON PARISH
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public of two upcoming road closures on LA 155 in Jackson Parish.
The first road closure will begin on Monday, January 20, 2020, located along LA 155 on the East side of its junction with Keppler Creek Rd. This road closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of a cross drain pipe and is expected to last one day only. This work is weather dependent.
The second road closure is expected to begin on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, located along LA 155 approximately 0.7 miles South of its intersection with Quitman Highway and 2.7 miles North of its junction with LA 542. This road closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of a cross drain pipe. LA 155 will remain closed at this location until further notice. This work is weather dependent.
Permit/Detour Section
All through traffic will be detoured. The detour route will be US 167, LA 811 and LA 542.

LA 155 is now open to thru traffic approximately 0.8 miles South of its junction with Quitman Highway where it had been previously closed for a cross drain replacement. Construction is still ongoing, and there will be two more road closures on LA 155 to allow for additional cross drain replacements. The dates for those closures are to be determined and advance notice will be given.

LA 155: LA 542 - Quitman Hwy / Jackson Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation advises the public that beginning Thursday, December 12, 2019, construction operations will be ongoing on LA 155 (Beech Springs Rd.) in Jackson Parish from its junction with LA 542 to the Quitman Hwy. This construction project will involve the installation of new cross drains, pavement patching, asphalt paving, and related work and will require short duration daytime lane closures. No road closures will occur at this time.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
