I-55 Northbound and Southbound, Lane Closures, MP 27 (Ponchatoula Creek Bridge), Tangipahoa Parish, State Project No. 4400003910

There will be lane closures of the inside (left) lanes of northbound and southbound I-55 at milepost 27 (Ponchatoula Creek Bridge) beginning Wednesday, January 15^th through Thursday, January 16^th from 7:00 a.m. and reopening at 5:00 p.m. daily while workers perform guardrail repairs.

Detour routes are as follows::

·         Northbound motorists may avoid this roadwork by taking I-55 Exit 26 to LA 22 east, traveling .01 miles and taking a left onto US 51 Business north, traveling 3.3 miles to I-12 west, and traveling 2.1 miles to I-12 Exit 38B to I-55 north.

·         Southbound motorists may avoid this roadwork by taking I-55 Exit 29A to I-12 east, traveling 2.1 miles to I-12 Exit 40 to US 51 Business south, traveling 3.3 miles to LA 22 west, then taking a right on LA 22 and traveling .01 miles to I-55 south.

ONE LANE WILL BE OPEN AT ALL TIMES.

There will be no restrictions on oversized loads at this time.
