Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 10:48:48 AM

UPDATE: This slow mowing operation has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. This operation is scheduled to begin on Friday, December 13 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, December 14 at 3 a.m., weather permitting. Thank you for your patience.

I-10 eastbound and westbound from I-49 (mile marker 102) to LA 328 in Breaux Bridge (mile marker 109) will have a slow moving operation on Monday, December 9 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., weather permitting.

This slow moving operation is necessary to allow the contractor to install reflectorized raised pavement markers.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in April 2020.
