*** Update # 5 *** All access is restored to The Port of Greater Baton Rouge. At this time no additional access restrictions are anticipated.***Update # 5***

*** Update #4 *** DEQ has determined that addition cleanup operations are necessary. Access is once again restricted to the Port of Greater Baton Rouge from I-10 WB and La 1 SB for additional cleanup operations. The duration of the cleanup is not known at this time. *** Update #4 ***

*** Update #3 *** All Access is restored to The Port of Greater Baton Rouge. At this time no additiona access restrictions are anticipated. *** Update #3 ***

*** Update #2*** Access is once again restricted to The Port of Greater Baton Rouge from I-10 WB and La 1 SB for cleanup operations. At this time the duration of the cleanup operations is not known. ***Update #2***

***Update*** Access is currently restored to The Port of Greater Baton Rouge from all directions until 7 am on Wednesday December 4, 2019. At that time access will be restricted from I-10 WB and La 1 SB for cleanup operations. ***Update***

Access to The Port of Greater Baton Rouge is restricted from the following locations:

I -10 WB to The Port of Greater Baton Rouge is closed. Traffic may still access LA 1 Southbound from I -10 WB
LA 1 SB to The Port of Greater Baton Rouge is also closed.

Access to The Port of Greater Baton Rouge is still open from LA 1 NB as well as I-10 EB.

These restrictions are necessary because of the recovery and cleanup operations associated with the recent overturned tanker truck on the on-ramp to I-10 EB From LA 1 SB. The tanker truck has been moved off-site and cleanup operations are commencing. The cleanup operation is currently anticiapated to take 2 days.
