Route: Hwy 452; Avoyelles Parish

LA 452: Cross Drain Replacement

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that on Monday, January 13, 2014, construction will begin on LA Hwy 452 at 0.332 miles north of its junction with Route LA 1 in Marksville. The intent of this project is to remove the existing metal cross drain and replace it with a 72” reinforced concrete pipe and add headwalls.

This contract was awarded to the low bidder, Merrick Construction, LLC in the amount of $127,905.

Permit/Detour Section

The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour route is as stated:

North bound traffic will continue on LA 1 until reaching LA 107, proceed north on LA 107 to LA 1190, travel LA 1190 to LA 452. 

South bound traffic will exit LA 1 at LA 107, proceed north on LA 107 to LA 1190, travel LA 1190 to LA 452.

The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public.  All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
