ROAD CLOSURE: LA 48 in St. Charles Parish closed for utility maintenance following storms

BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 48 between LA 626 and Oak Street in St. Charles Parish is closed to allow Entergy crews to repair damaged power poles as a result of Tropical Storm Olga.

DOTD would also like to remind travelers that there are a large number of trees down throughout the parish, and maintenance crews are addressing these issues. Crews will continue to work until roads are clear and safe for travel.

Many traffic signals were also damaged and crews are currently out resetting the flashing signals that still have power. Once dark signals regain power, DOTD traffic crews will then reset those signals as well.

DOTD appreciates your patience as we continue to recover from the storm. The latest road closures and traffic updates can be accessed at www.511la.org or by downloading the 511 mobile app.
