The following closures will take place on I-12 near the Satsuma Exit. Motorists wanting to avoid this construction zone should see the detours mentioned below.

• I-12 Eastbound and Westbound – On/Off Ramps at Exit #19 (Satsuma Interchange) will be closed intermittently from Sunday, September 22, 2019 through Wednesday, September 25, 2019 Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 8:00 pm - 5:00 am, nightly (weather permitting). These closures will allow crews to place temporary striping on the existing roadway to swap the traffic on I-12 to the new travel lanes.

• I-12 Eastbound and Westbound (from 1 mile west of the Satsuma Exit to 1/2 mile east of the exit) will have lane closures Sunday, September 22, 2019 through Wednesday, September 25 Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 8:00 pm - 5:00 am, nightly (weather permitting). These closures will allow crews to do concrete paving and to place temporary striping on the existing roadway to swap the traffic on I-12 to the new travel lanes.

Detours for I-12 through traffic:
  • Westbound I-12 motorists may take LA 63 North to US 190 West to LA 447 South back to I-12.
  • Eastbound I-12 motorists may take LA 447 North to US 190 East to LA 63 South back to I-12.

Detours for I-12 Eastbound On/Off Ramp traffic at the Satsuma Exit:

  • Eastbound I-12 motorists wanting to exit at Satsuma may take LA 63 North to US 190 West to South Satsuma Road.
  • Eastbound I-12 motorists wanting to enter I-12 at Satsuma may take LA 447 North to US 190 East to South Satsuma Road.
Detours for I-12 Westbound On/Off Ramp traffic at the Satsuma Exit:
  • Westbound I-12 motorists wanting to exit at Satsuma may take LA 63 North to US 190 West to South Satsuma Road
  • Westbound I-12 motorists wanting to enter I-12 at Satsuma may take South Satsuma North to US 190 West to LA 447 South back to I-12 West.
