LA 3118; SW JCT. LA 6 – NE JCT. LA 6

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises that, weather permitting, on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 road construction work will begin on LA 3118 from the Southwest junction of LA 6 to the Northeast junction of LA 6.  This 1.260 mile long road construction project will receive cold planing asphaltic concrete pavement, pavement patching, superpave asphaltic concrete pavement, and related work.  The project was awarded to the low bidder, Madden Contracting Co., Inc., in the amount of $506,027.02.

Permit/Detour section

There will be no width restrictions for oversize vehicles.  The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction.  The roadway will be open to traffic at all times.
