**UPDATE: Time extended until Sunday, September 22, 2019**
LA 1010-Himalaya Canal Bridge (ASSUMPTION PARISH), Both eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed at the Himalaya Canal Bridge, which is approximately 0.75 miles west of LA 398. This closure will take place starting Sunday, August 25, 2019 through Sunday, September 22, 2019.
The closure is necessary for continuous movement of heavy equipment and vehicles to cross a temporary span over the bridge.
No thru traffic will be allowed to cross the bridge during this continuous closure.
Westbound traffic should take LA 398 to LA 1, then travel west on LA 1 to LA 1247. Eastbound traffic should take LA 1247 to LA 1, then travel east to LA 1 to LA 398.
