Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 3:58:51 PM
The right shoulder of I-10 westbound between mile markers 103 (Bayou Coulee) and 104 (Louisiana Avenue) in Lafayette Parish will be closed beginning Friday, August 16, at 8:00 p.m. through Saturday, September 14, at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary for the Louisiana Avenue westbound detour road construction.

Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through this lane closure.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in April 2020.
