**UPDATE**

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that due to equipment failure, the bridge closure scheduled for today at 1:30pm, has been pushed back to 6:00pm - 6:30pm this evening, Thursday, August 15th.

LA 6; Grand Ecore Bridge
Natchitoches Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Thursday, August 15, 2019, LA 6 will be closed across the Grande Ecore Bridge for demolition of a downstream pipeline crossing. The demolition is expected to have no impact on the Grande Ecore Bridge and traffic is being closed only as a safety precaution. After the demolition is complete, DOTD forces will perform an inspection of the bridge and traffic will be reopened. The closure is scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM and is expected to last about 30 minutes.

Safety Reminder
All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
