Jefferson Parish- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the LA 301 bridge in Crown Point, located a quarter mile west of LA 3134 has been repaired and restored to two-lane, two-way normal operation .

Last month, the bridge was reduced to one lane after a routine bridge inspection revealed that the steel piles were corroded. DOTD crews performed rehabilitation repairs that increased the structural capacity of the bridge by encasing the existing steel piles with structural concrete.

The bridge has been re-posted at 20 tons for a single unit vehicle and 35 tons for a standard semi or larger combination vehicle.
