Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 429: Improvements at LA 431. This project is in Ascension Parish for a length of 0.310 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, lime treatment, milling asphalt concrete, class II base course, and related work at a cost of $568,847.26.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be traffic delays and intermittent lane closures involving the intersection of LA 431/LA 429 and the LA 429 corridor near the intersection. These intermittent lane closures will occur over the next three weeks between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:30 pm. These closures are necessary in order to sawcut/remove existing pavement, complete base work, and pave the roadway. Flaggers and appropriate signage will be onsite in order to facilitate and direct traffic.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
