I-10 Westbound between Mile Markers 115.0 and 117.0, St. Martin Parish – Lane and Ramp Closures
Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:48:56 AM
The right outside lane of I-10 westbound (east of the intersection with LA 347) between mile markers 115.0 and 117.0 in St. Martin Parish, will be closed nightly from Monday, July 22, at 8:00 p.m. to Friday, July 26, at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to move barriers to facilitate an upcoming traffic switch.

Traffic will be reduced to one-lane in the noted area.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
