Several Railroad Crossings in Baldwin (BNSF)

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LDOTD) is conducting an open house public meeting for the closure of three (3) railroad crossings along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad and the Louisiana and Delta Railroad (LDRR) in the City of Baldwin. The closures will be on Lockley Street, Orphans Home Road, and Haven Street. Two connecting roadways will be constructed to maintain access. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information about the project and to obtain input from interested parties. Issues to be addressed include preliminary road alignment, environmental concerns, and socioeconomic issues. The public meeting has been scheduled for the location, date and time below.
