UPDATE: ROAD IS NOW OPEN IN BOTH DIRECTIONS

Northbound LA 23, the left lane has opened for traffic. Northbound LA 23 right lane remains CLOSED.
Southbound LA 23 have returned to normal operations
Northbound LA 23 (Belle Chasse Highway) in Myrtle Grove closed due to flooding.
Southbound will have two way traffic through the impacted area.
With the threat of severe weather and heavy rainfall that may impact areas of the state, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) reminds motorists to take extra precautions should traveling be necessary.
