Possible Closure of Humble Canal Bridge on LA 3147 - Vermilion Parish

With the threat of severe weather and heavy rainfall that may impact areas of the state, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that the Pontoon Bridge at Humble Canal on LA 3147 in Freshwater City may need to be closed to vehicular traffic on short notice. DOTD anticipates the closure to begin as early as the morning of Friday, July 12, and continue until the high tides and storm surges recedes. All motorists should prepare for this contingency by early preparations.
Motorists are encouraged to check the status of road conditions prior to beginning commutes to impacted areas by utilizing the following resources for the latest information regarding road conditions:
