DOTD announces the start of a Road Construction Project on LA 338 at LA 14 Bypass in Vermilion Parish, SPN H.012081

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, July 8, a road construction project estimated at $750,000, at the intersection of LA 338 and LA 14 Bypass in Vermilion Parish. The project will start on the southside of the LA 14 Bypass intersection at Mike Street and LA 338 and proceed north of the LA 14 Bypass intersection to the intersection of East Villien Avenue and LA 338.

The work is estimated to take place on Mondays through Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The work consists of drainage work, removal of concrete pavement, installation of concrete pavement widening and related work.

There will be alternating lane closures throughout the duration of the project with minimal delays expected. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 9-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone for the duration of the project.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area.

The project is estimated for completion in early fall of 2019.
