I-10 eastbound on the High Rise to have ten-day lane closure

NEW ORLEANS - Today, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced an extended single lane closure for I-10 eastbound on the High Rise in New Orleans. The left lane will be closed from Louisa St. to Chef Hwy. from Friday, June 14 at 7 p.m. to Monday, June 24 at 5 a.m. Crews will be performing bridge rehabilitation work during the lane closure.

The rehabilitation to the bridge consists of permanent repairs after a fire under the bridge damaged three girders in November 2017. Temporary supports were put into place after the fire in order to allow traffic to continue to pass. The permanent repairs are expected to be complete in summer 2019.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
