Verot School Road lane closures set for April 25 to May 9

Lafayette- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that LA 339 (Verot School Road) from Camellia Boulevard to Polly Drive will be reduced to one lane in both directions beginning Thursday, April 25 until Thursday, May 9. This closure will allow crews to make repairs to the concrete paving associated with the widening of Verot School Road.

The contractor and DOTD agree that the closure of these lanes is necessary in order to make repairs to the concrete paving that did not meet the standards required by the contract specifications. Motorists should expect to see workers on site at various times during the day and at night. The lane closures may shift from the inside lane to the outside lane and will be in both directions. The main travel lanes will be affected for the first two weeks and the middle lane will be affected for approximately one week.

The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone. Emergency vehicles will have access to the area.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. All work will be performed weather permitting.
