ROAD OPENED Emergency Road Closure: LA 144 near LA 151 in Ouachita Parish

UPDATE: The road has been reopened. Note that minor work is still occurring at this location so be aware of the construction workers and flaggers as they finish this area.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 144 approximately 200 feet south of its intersection with LA 151 in Ouachita Parish is CLOSED due to a culvert failure.
Crews are on site preparing to begin repair work on the culvert and a replacement pipe has been ordered.
Alternate route: A detour route has been set up using LA 151 to LA 546 to LA 34 to LA 144.
Restrictions/Permits: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
