DOTD accepting student applications for Engineering Summer Program

BATON ROUGE, La. – Today, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that applications are being accepted for this year’s Engineering Summer Program. This statewide program provides college students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in construction, maintenance, road and bridge design, and other transportation-related areas.

Candidates accepted into the program will work full-time for eleven weeks, from June 3 to August 16. To be eligible for this program, students are required to:

• Be in good academic standing at an accredited four year university
• Have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher
• Be classified as full-time juniors or seniors majoring in civil engineering
• Must be a Louisiana resident or attend an accredited college or university in the State of Louisiana

Students will earn a salary commensurate with their academic level, experience and abilities.
