UPDATE (2/28/19): All lanes of US 425 at the location listed below have been fully reopened to traffic.

*************************************************************************************************

UPDATE (2/27/19)
: Due to the flood waters receding, the southbound lanes of US 425 at the location listed below have been fully reopened. There remains a single outside lane closure in the northbound direction.

Permit: With the current traffic control in place, the width restriction specified below can be lifted.

*************************************************************************************************

LANE CLOSURE
Effective immediately, US 425 in Morehouse Parish is restricted to only one lane of travel northbound and one lane of travel southbound at a location 2.5 miles north of the intersection of US 425 and LA 140, near Log Cabin. These lane closures are required due to rising flood waters overtopping the travel lanes. With flood waters predicted to continue to rise, two-way traffic will be maintained until it is deemed unsafe for travel, at which point the roadway will have to be completely closed. Once flood waters recede, the roadway will be assessed and will be returned to full traffic flow when deemed safe to do so.

PERMIT/DETOUR
With single lane traffic flow per direction, all traffic wider than 10-feet should be restricted.
