The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LA DOTD) advises the public that LA 6X in the City of Natchitoches, Natchitoches Parish, will be closed from LA 1233 (Jefferson St.) to Second Street.  The work will be done at Milepost 1.020 and is on Control Section 034-05.  The closure will be on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 8:00 AM till 4:00 PM.  The closure is for Union Pacific to adjust the track thru the crossing.

Permit/Detour section

The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 6X to LA 3175 South By-Pass to LA 1 North to LA 1233 North to LA 6X.  The detour can accept oversized loads and the detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public.  All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
