UTLX Train Derailment
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that LA 1 at its crossing with UTLX tracks north of Airbase Road, Rapides Parish, IS NOW OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC.

LA 1, North of Airbase Road; Rapides Parish
UTLX Train Derailment
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that between approximately 3:00pm & 5:00pm today, LA 1 at its crossing with UTLX tracks north of Airbase Road will be closed to all traffic. The intent of this closure is to return a derailed train engine to the tracks. The closure is expected to last up to two hours.
Permit/Detour section
LA 1 will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the work. Due to the short duration of the work and immediate proximity of I-49, no detour will be placed. Traffic is encouraged to use I-49 between Airbase Rd. and Rapides Station Road while the work is under way.
