**Update LA 22 Intermittent Lane Closures**

**The intermittent lane closure for LA 22 has been extended. The closure will continue along LA 22 between US 61 and Interstate 10 . See below.**
Construction has begun for State Project H.011451, LA 22 Rehabilitation. This project consists of grading. drainage structures, class II base course, in-place slag stabilized blended BCS base course, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work for project length of 3.424 miles.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be intermittent lane closures Monday-Friday, January 14th-extending through all of April. The closures will occur in both directions along LA 22 between US 61 (Airline Highway) and Interstate 10. No oversized loads greater than 10’ wide will be allowed through the construction zone during these intermittent lane closures. The closures are necessary in order for the contractor to mill and pave the roadway. Flaggers and appropriate signage will be present in order to direct traffic during the closures.
