UPDATE: The Union Pacific Railroad Bridge at US 80 is now open to traffic. Note that bridge is still under construction, so motorists be aware of the construction workers and flaggers as they continue to work in this area.
Beginning Monday, October 29, 2018, Union Pacific Railroad Bridge at US 80 will be closed. This closure is required to allow contractors to construct a roadway to allow traffic to transfer to the newly constructed bridge.
Permit / Detour section:
Restrictions: No restrictions noted. The roadway will be closed to through traffic.
Detour: The detour route around this road closure will be accessed as follows:
EASTBOUND: Traffic will head east on LA 139 past the bridge, approximately 4.5 miles, and turn right on LA 594. Traffic will then travel south on LA 594 for approximately 4.25 miles, to be routed back on US 80.
WESTBOUND: Traffic will head north on LA 594 past the intersection of US 80 and LA 594, approximately 4.25 miles, and turn left on LA 139. Traffic will then travel east on LA 139 for approximately 4.5 miles, to be routed back on US 80.
