UPDATE: The westbound off ramp of LA 347 (Henderson/Cecilia) will also be closed Friday, December 14 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, December 15 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

The information below has been updated to include the westbound off ramp closure and detour.

I-10 westbound from mile marker 118.5 to mile marker 113.5 will have alternating lane closures beginning Friday, December 14 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, December 15 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow contractors to restripe lanes.

Additionally, the westbound off and on ramps of LA 347 (Henderson/Cecilia) will be closed beginning Friday, December 14 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, December 15 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to make repairs to the asphalt and striping.

The westbound off ramp of LA 347 will be detoured to LA 328 (Rees Street) off ramp to I-10 eastbound to LA 347 eastbound off ramp.

The westbound on ramp of LA 347 will be detoured to I-10 eastbound to LA 3177 (Butte La Rose) off ramp to I-10 westbound.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
