EXTENDED - I-10 eastbound at the foot of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge (mm 118), St. Martin Parish, Rolling Road Block
Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 2:57:05 PM

UPDATE: Due to inclement weather this rolling road block has been extended to include Friday, December 14 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, December 15 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Beginning Wednesday, December 12 at 8 p.m., both lanes of I-10 eastbound will have intermittent rolling road blocks at the foot of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge (mile marker 118) for roadway striping repairs. This work is expected to last until 6 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
