UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 9 bridge over Corney Lake, Claiborne Parish


UPDATE: This bridge has been reopened to traffic. Please be advised that construction work continues and intermittent lane closures will be necessary.

UPDATE: This bridge closure has been rescheduled to begin Monday, October 29, 2018. Traffic will be allowed to pass through until the closure begins.

Original notification:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, October 22, 2018, the LA 9 bridge over Corney Lake near Summerfield in Claiborne Parish will be closed.

This closure is scheduled to last approximately one month, and is necessary for structural repairs to be made to the bridge. No traffic will be able to pass through the construction zone during this time.

Alternate route: Total bridge closure. ALL vehicles must detour using LA 2 or US 167

Restrictions/Permits: N/A

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
