US 190: LA 22-Lonesome Road Widening

MANDEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces an update on the project to widen U.S. Highway 190 from La. 22 to Lonesome Road in St. Tammany Parish, an $11.3 million capacity improvement project.

 

This week’s construction activities are as follows.

 

·  Installation of base course for the new eastbound roadway, from St. Ann Street to St. Joseph Street.

·  Bridge crews pouring sidewalk and barrier rail for the new westbound bridge and installing large rip rap on the bridge embankment of the westbound bridge.

·  Three drainage crews are currently working at different locations throughout the project limits. 

o  Crew 1 is installing drainage structures from N. Chinchuba Gardens towards St. Ann Street. 

o  Crew 2 is installing drainage structures from the outfall at Chinchuba Creek to the entrance/exit of Cherry Creek Subdivision.

o  Crew 3 is installing drainage structures from Lonesome Road to the entrance/exit of Cherry Creek subdivision.

 

All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
