**Update: LA 42 Widening and Improvements, LA 42 Road Closure

**Update:Additional details regarding the closure are underlined below.
Construction is ongoing for State Project H.002370, LA 42 Widening. The project consists of grading, drainage structures, subgrade treatment, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, landscaping, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work in Ascension Parish.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be a full road closure of LA 42 on Saturday, November 10th, between 6:30am untill 5:30pm. Closures will be eastbound and westbound directions at a spot location to install a new subsurface cross drain. This spot location is approximately 1.2 miles west of LA 929, located between Levern Stafford Road and Franklin Road along LA 42. No permit or oversize loads along with emergency vehicles will be able to pass. Traffic will be detoured along AP 929 to US 61.
