I-10 EB from mm 116 (Bayou Portage Bridge/1.5 miles east of LA 347 in Henderson) to mm 118 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge), Lane & Shoulder Closure
Monday, October 22, 2018 at 8:06:16 AM
UPDATE: This closure has been CANCELLED until further notice. Thank you for your patience.

The outside lane and shoulder of I-10 eastbound from mile marker 116 (Bayou Portage Bridge/1.5 miles east of LA 347 in Henderson) to mile marker 118 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge) will be closed the night of Tuesday, October 23, to allow for the placement of an asphalt shoulder.

This closure is estimated to take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
