I-210 East On-Ramp to Reopen at LA 1138-2 (Nelson Road) – Calcasieu Parish

The Department of Transportation and Development announces that the Interstate 210 east on-ramp at LA 1138-2 (Nelson Road) will reopen on Sunday, Sept. 16, weather permitting.
Temporary lane closures on Nelson Road will occur during the day Sunday, Sept. 16. Lane closures are necessary for crews to modify signs and striping. Motorist should expect delays as work crews make the intersection modifications.
At the I-210 eastbound on-ramp and Nelson Road, the new lane configuration for Nelson Road will be the following:
- Two southbound through lanes and one southbound left turn only lane.
- Two northbound through lanes.
At the I-210 westbound on-ramp and Nelson Road, the new lane configurations will be the following:
- One northbound through lane and one northbound left turn only lane.
- Two southbound through lanes.
Additionally, on Monday, Sept. 17, there will be temporary lane closures to install a new guide sign.
