LA 645: LAFOURCHE P/L - JCT LA 1 Road Closure, Assumption Parish

Construction is currently taking place for H.012496, LA 645: LAFOURCHE P/L - JCT LA 1 in Assumption Parish. The type of work includes grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, lime treatment, in-place stabilized base course, asphalt surface treatment, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of a full road closure along LA 645 beginning at the gravel portion of the roadway. Recent inclement weather has created unsafe driving conditions on the existing roadway that is under construction. The closure is effective Thursday, August 30th and is expected to last until September 13th, weather permitting. An alternate route, Welcome Road, is available and signed for motorists as a detoured route. No permit or oversized loads along with emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the closed portion of LA 645.
