DOTD announces ALL WAY stop control to be installed at the intersection of LA 14 and LA 397 – Calcasieu Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will install ALL WAY stop control at the intersection of LA 14 and LA 397 (Ward Line Rd) on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018.
All motorists on the LA 14 approaches will be soon be required to make a complete stop prior to entering intersection. A recently completed traffic study showed the signage would be a low-cost safety improvement for the intersection.
Advance notification will be provided on intersection approaches beginning today via Portable changeable message signs (PCMS) and warning signage.
On the day of installation, rumble strips and stop ahead warning signs equipped with flags and flashing amber lights will be installed on LA 14 approaches to intersection informing motorists of the stop condition ahead.
