Louisiana Avenue northbound and southbound under I-10 between the on and off ramps will be closed the night of Monday, August 20, due to construction on the overpass.
This closure is estimated to take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.
The detour for northbound traffic will be I-10 eastbound to LA 328 (Rees Street) to I-10 westbound to Louisiana Avenue northbound.
The detour for southbound traffic will be I-10 westbound to I-49 to I-10 eastbound to the eastbound off ramp at Louisiana Avenue.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
