LA 483; Jct LA 174 to Desoto Parish Line

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LA DOTD) announced today that, weather permitting, road construction work will begin on LA 483 from the junction of LA 174 to the Desoto Parish Line on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 and will continue for approximately two (2) months. This 4.338 mile long project will receive in-place cement stabilized base, and superpave asphaltic concrete.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Madden Contracting Co., in the amount of $1,660,098.02.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be open to traffic at all times. There will be no restrictions for regular traffic and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles.
