DOTD announces an upcoming Highway Construction Project on LA 106 from LA 13 to US 167 in Evangeline Parish, SPN H.01223.6

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Wednesday, August 15, construction will begin on a $3.04 million project on LA 106 from LA 13 to US 167 between Mileposts 9.9 to 14.4 in Evangeline Parish.
The work is estimated to take place on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with intermittent lane closures throughout the project, weather permitting.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
The project will include removing the existing surfacing on the roadway, reconstruct subgrade and base, and place new asphalt pavement, and related work.
The project is estimated for completion in December 2018.
